Recalibrate your connection to

your mind, body & soul

EMDR & IFS Trauma Therapy

You take care of everyone else.

It is time to take care of you.

Sometimes bad things happen to us. Maybe it happened one time, or multiple times. Maybe you can’t pinpoint an exact event but you feel like something is off. All you know is that you feel stuck and can’t figure out how to move on. You’ve done the coping, the dealing, but nothing seems to be changing.

Maybe you aren’t even sure “trauma” is the right word or experience, but you can’t help shake negative feelings from experiences you may or may not remember. You are trying to connect the dots and need a little help putting thoughts & feelings into perspective.

Make connections to the other parts of life that these problems are affecting.

The real answer is: not everyone’s traumas look the same. Not every trauma results in PTSD. But all traumas do affect our daily living, how we relate to the world and people around us. We question,

“why me?”

Why do I feel stuck in a memory that is in the past?”

“When will I feel like myself?”

“Do I have to rehash every little detail to heal?” (the answer is no!)

Change is painful. But nothing is

as painful as staying stuck

somewhere you don't belong.

how it works

You can use your own brain to do the healing.

While we can never undo  or erase a memory or memories, we can rewire the way the brain stores the negativity around it and feels about it. Different modalities such as EMDR & IFS can reduce disturbances or rewire the way the brain holds the memories. Together we can follow your nervous system and see what needs support.

We can use EMDR which allows your brain to do its own healing by using bilateral stimulation to synchronize and help process the traumatic memories and experiences. This is a structured therapy that is different from traditional talk therapy with 8 stages, and has similar effects as rapid eye movement (REM) in allowing your mind and body to integrate information.

IFS can allow you to explore the parts of you that are working so hard to protect you from bad things happening again. These parts are burdened to flood you and warn you when “bad things are going to happen”, so you do not have to experience them again. We can explore how to help these parts not work so hard and trust that you are safe to lead them from a place of self led energy and authentic version.

So you know how you have those feelings of guilt, shame, anxiety, over thinking, doom scrolling, over-drinking, spending, and so many other feelings, thoughts and behaviors that do not align with your authentic self? We can explore those symptoms and see if EMDR, IFS, can be effective for you
